Semi-informative For The Confused Americans

For anyone watching, or trying to watch the Olymipics, there has to be at least one point where you're watching the screen with no idea whatsoever as to what's going on. You know that that guy in the green spandex is trying very hard to accomplish something, and that the Kenyans in the stands are getting very excited about it, but you, personally, are clueless. For the apartment here, that moment came when the announcer mentioned that they were in the middle of an event called the Snatch, and that following soon would be the Clean & Jerk.

Well, just in case you catch yourself scratching your head, remember this site: Sports Animations from the official Athens 2004 Olympic Games website.

Flash-animations demonstrating the Olympic events in a very professional, PowerPointy manner. Never before have I felt so imformed about Table Tennis.

Bruce Banner Ads

I do not trust the guy in this ad. He looks like he's just about to snap, rip his clothes off, and punch and me and my mother in the eye.

That reminds me, I need to call Home tomorrow.

Note to self: Stick to predicting the Weather

Official @Delphi Competition 5 final leaderboard:

1. BKBroiler 60.75
2. sdjunglist 56.5
3. supima 55.5
4. bluej 54
5. hippos 53.25
6. critch 52.5
7. Walstib 52
8. jccohen 50.5
9. spiritauthor 46.5
10. soc151 46.25
My predictions were off by just a tad, as you can see. The Broiler managed to pass sd.. I managed to pass critch.. and everybody in the top six managed to score another 10 points before time was up. Interestingly enough, hippos and I kept our places and none of us fell out of the top 6.

And Now, back to your regularly scheduled irrelevance.

Just my 3ยข

Dear Canada,

First the "looney", now this.

It's a limited edition, sure. But seriously folks: Neither America, nor the rest of the world will ever respect you until start taking your money seriously.

Thank you.
